Keys: 1–9 enter a number, N toggles notes, arrows move, Backspace erases. On a selected empty square, rest on one digit spot and click or tap it to toggle that note. Auto candidates lists every empty square at once.
Sudoku, graded honestly.
I play Sudoku almost every day, and I still get stuck. So I built the site I wanted. Every puzzle here is solved one move at a time, the way you'd do it, and the hardest move sets the level. Not the number of clues.
Start with Easy if you're new, or jump into Not Easy, which plays a lot like the NYT Medium. Try the daily puzzle if you want the same grid as everyone else today.
Stuck? The hint won't just fill in a number. It points at the move, names it, and links to the technique behind it. Curious why some puzzles feel harder than they should? Here's what actually makes a Sudoku hard.

Press N to toggle Normal and Notes. With checking on, a wrong entry counts toward the 4-mistake limit. With it off, there is no limit. Sharing sends the level, time, and outcome with a random id stored on this device. It does not include a name. Turn sharing off to delete that id. Community stats · Privacy
